The National Academy of Customs, Excise and Narcotics, Regional Training Institute, Hyderabad, in association with the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) and Customs and Central Excise, Hyderabad Zone, is conducting two workshops on e-payment and ACES on the FAPCCI premises, Red Hills, on May 4 and 5.
The workshop will be inaugurated by Directorate-General of Systems and Data Management YG Parande.
With e-payment, payment of excise and service tax is possible any where, any time, according to Additional Director- General Bhupendra Pal Singh.
The Automation of Central Excise and Service Tax (ACES), a workflow-based web-enabled application software, will eventually replace the current mode of manual filing of returns, seeking refund/ rebate of taxes, obtaining various permissions and approvals from the department and dispute resolution, by an electronic interface.
The trade will have numerous advantages with the system like easy operation and convenience of payment. Moreover, the facility will be available throughout the day and the customer will also get instant computerised receipt. The new system has already been launched in Chennai, Bangalore and Bhubaneshwar, according to a press release.
