Ratan Tata Unvieled Rs 1 Lakh Car at the 9th Auto Expo in New Delhi

 Ratan Tata, Chairman Tata Group has unveiled Rs 1 Lakh Car at the 9th Auto Expo in New Delhi on Thursday. The Car is popularly called as People's car with a dealer price of Rs 1 Lakh plus Value Added Tax and Transport Charges.

The Car possesses required safety measures as well as satisfies pollution criteria. It has even a pollution level less than a two-wheeler.

The car has a 624-cc petrol engine and will give a mileage of 20 kilometers per liter. The car will be available with both AC and non-AC. The car has a good internal space.

The car is expected to be launched in the second half of the year 2008. Apart from Indian market the company has also planned to sell those cars in Africa and Latin America.

Even in the presence of a steep rise in factor input cost, Tata Group has succeeded in its earlier declaration on Rs 1 Lakh Car.
