| The Central Board of Direct Taxes has a new Chairman in Mr Rabender Singh Mathoda, He took charge today. Prior to his appointment, Mr Mathoda, a 1971 batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service, was Member (IT) and Member (A& J) in the CBDT. An official release said that Mr Mathoda, a graduate from IIT Kharagpur, had served in various capacities in the income-tax department as Chief Commissioner in North Western Region, Shimla and Kolkata and as Commissioner in NWR, Mumbai and Gwalior.
