Setting up of the New York Chapter Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India at its 278th Council Meeting decided to set up a chapter in New York and the Honble Minister of Ministry of Corporate Affairs is likely to inaugurate the same on 19th June 2008. President and Vice- President of ICAI on matters of professional interest interacted with the members based at New York on 17th May. ICAI Dignitaries meeting with IFAC On 18th May, CA.Ved Jain, President, CA. Uttam Prakash Agarwal, Vice- President and Dr. Ashok Haldia, Secretary of the ICAI met with Del Valle Fermin, President of International Federation of Accountants and during the meeting the road map towards convergence with IFRS were made.
