Dear Professional Colleague,

As you are already aware that the Committee on Public and Government Financial Management (CP&GFM) is working in the direction of improving Public Finance and Government accounting in the Country. Amongst others, primary activities of the Committee includes assisting Government bodies in improving their accounting and finance function, providing technical inputs on Government accounting related matters within India and Internationally on the documents of International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (IPSASB), formulation of Accounting Standards for Local Bodies (ASLBs), and building capacity of the finance officials of various tiers of Government in India by various means such as organizing workshops, developing relevant e-learning modules, etc.

The steps taken by the Committee in this direction during the year 2019-2020 are mentioned in brief in the Activity Report available at shorturl.at/ikqJ0 . In its endeavour to involve more members in this journey, the Committee hereby invites expression of interest from members of the ICAI to contribute to various initiatives as mentioned in the Google form https://bit.ly/2xB0o2B.
