The Committee on Financial Markets and Investor's Protection (CFM&IP) of ICAI conducts Certificate
Course on Forex and Treasury Management (FXTM) for the professional updation of the members
and to explore the prevailing professional opportunities in the area for Forex Risk Management.
Treasury & Forex Management is fast emerging field of specialization in corporate sector & highly
focused towards arranging appropriate funding, managing financial risks in an organisation, determining
financial strategy and policy &advising on what businesses to invest in. In the field of Forex
Management, the opportunities to raise money outside India, and the factors which influence the
evaluation of overseas capital investment projects with reference to FDI &ODI. Corporate professionals
must enhance their level of knowledge and skills to execute critical functions related to Corporate
Liquidity, Capital and Risk Management.
In this increasingly integrated and interdependent financial environment, the links between Treasury &
Forex Management have become extremely close.
Objectives of course
To provide a conceptual framework for understanding the Money Markets and the Foreign
Exchange Markets.
To cultivate appreciation of the inter-linkages between the Money Markets and Foreign Exchange
Markets and the practical implications of these linkages.
To improve the ability for measuring and managing Financial Risks in Corporates and Banks.
To impart skills in Treasury and Foreign Exchange Management which are relevant in the
electronic age, where managers will be operating in a web enabled environment.

CA Final Examination are eligible to pursue this Course.

Classes will be held on alternative weekends: Saturday from 2.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.
Sunday from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.

Module 9: Taxation of Treasury Transactions and Instruments
Module 10: Risk Management & Risk Framework Treasury and Forex
Module 11: Regulatory Environment
Module 12: Treasury - Special Entity Regulations
Course fee: Rs. 17,500 (Rs. Seventeen thousand five hundred only).
The participants to this course will be given 48 CPE Hrs after completion of the course.
