Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Dubai Chapter, is organising a two-day international conference from today at the Hotel Crowne Plaza, Dubai.
The conference is revolving on the theme Economy Through the Looking Glass. Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, will inaugurate the conference and address members.
The panel of overseas speakers include S. Gurumurthy, a leading corporate advisor, P. R. Ramesh, country head Deloitte Haskins & Sells, India, Suresh Prabhu, a seasoned politician and former federal minister, Govt. of India and Ashok Wadhwa, chief executive and managing director of Ambit Corporate Finance.
The local speakers include Marios Maratheftis, Regional Head of Research, Standard Chartered Bank and Aathira Prasad, an economist.
Indian Consul General Sanjay Verma and ICAI President Amarjit Chopra will be guest of honour and will address the members.
In the prevailing global economic environment, the discussion will evolve around the past, present and future of the prevailing economy. Members will deliberate the possible opportunities to gain from the recovering economy, said Hanumanth Kumar, Chairman, ICAI Dubai Chapter.
