Common Proficiency Test (CPT) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will be held on June 20, 2010. For the first time, this exam which serves as the entrance exam for the chartered accountancy course will have a centre in Doha.
The information brochure and examination application form can be collected from the ICAI Doha Chapter office in Doha. The last date for receipt of completed application forms by post at the ICAI office in New Delhi is April 27, the institute informed in a communique.
Its a milestone in the 29-year- history of Doha Chapter of ICAI which has been relentlessly taking up this issue of great interest for the aspiring students in Qatar wanting to be Chartered Accountants, said Kurian Kuriakose, Chapter Chairman.
The students eligible to appear for this examination must comply with the following two conditions: The candidate should have already registered with the ICAI Board of studies on or before April 1, 2010.
Candidate should have already passed or appeared or appearing in April/May 2010 senior secondary examination. The Entry level test called the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is designed on the pattern of entry level tests for engineering, medical and other professional courses in India.
