Tax-Payers are Advised Not to Use Old Return Forms

Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has advised all tax-payers to wait for the notification of the new return forms for the assessment year 2007-08 and not to file their returns of income in the old forms. Income-tax return forms are assessment year-specific and are, therefore, required to be notified separately for each assessment year. For the assessment year 2007-08, the return forms are under preparation.
