The managing committee of Ludhiana Branch of Northern India Regional Council (NIRC) of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ( ICAI) for financial year 2011-12 was elected on Wednesday.
CA Pankaj Periwal was elected as chairman, Arun Rattan as secretary, Vikas Giya as vice-chairman and Rajeev K Sharma as treasurer. Gaurav Gupta, Jasminder Singh, Hukminder Sahi and Rachit Bhandari were elected as executive members.
Addressing the members after being elected as chairman, Periwal said he trusts his team and all members and students of Ludhiana branch. He assured that the new team will put their best efforts to help CAs and CA students.
Ludhiana branch of NIRC is a decentralized branch of ICAI, which is a statutory body established under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, for regulation of the profession of CA. ICAI is the second largest accounting body of the world.
Having more than 1,300 CAs as its members and more than 3,500 CA students, the Ludhiana branch is one of the biggest branches of the Northern region.
