ICAI - Schedule of Personal Contact Programme (PCP) for Post Qualification Course in International Trade Laws & WTO

In terms of the requirements of Para 10 of the Notification No. 1-CA(7)/64A/2003 in Part III Section 4 of the Gazette of India (Extraordinary) dated 4.12.2003 for the Post Qualification Course in International Trade Laws and World Trade Organisation, Part I of the Course is to be supported by Personal Contact Programmes (PCPs) for a minimum duration of 30 days covering the subject matter of all the Papers contained in Part I of the Course. The record of attendance in the Personal Contact Programme (with a minimum attendance record of 80%) is also required to be produced at the time of applying for admission to the examination for the Course. 
In view of the above, the Personal Contact Programme (PCP) covering the syllabus for all the six Papers of the Course, for the candidates who wish to be eligible to appear in ITL & WTO Course Examination Part I to be held in November 2009, is proposed to be organized at New Delhi in two phases during July 2009 and August 2009 with the following schedule: -
Dates: July 1-15, 2009 and July 29- August 12, 2009 DAILY (including Saturdays/ Sundays & Holidays)
Timings:10.30 AM onwards

 
1st Phase - Wednesday, July 1- Wednesday, July 15, 2009
Paper I: Introduction to International Trade
Paper II: GATT, Rules of Origin and Trade Related Agreements
Paper III: GATS, TRIPS and TRIMS, SPS and Dispute Settlement and Review Procedures in WTO
2nd Phase Wednesday, July 29- Wednesday, August 12, 2009
Paper IV: Domestic Trade Laws
Paper V: Anti-dumping, Anti-subsidy and Safeguard - Laws and Practice
Paper VI: Competition Laws and Policies

 
The fee structure of the Post Qualification Course in International Trade Laws & WTO was modified as follows: -
Registration fee
Rs. 20,000/- (or its equivalent in foreign currency) payable in two installments:
1st Installment of Rs. 10,000/- payable at the time of Registration for Part I of the Course
2nd Installment of Rs. 10,000/- payable at the time of applying to attend the Personal Contact Programme for the Course.
 
Accordingly, Candidates who wish to attend above said PCP and have not yet paid the fee towards 2nd installment for the Course are requested to send the fee of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) towards 2nd installment for the Post Qualification Course in International Trade Laws & WTO which can be paid only through a Demand Draft or Pay Order, drawn in favour of "The Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India", payable at New Delhi in the duly filled up enclosed form latest by 29th May, 2009 at the following address. Those who have already paid the fee towards 2nd installment for the Course may ignore this.
