Appreciating the need of the profession, the Council recently approved in principle, to issue Corporate Affairs Standards on various areas of corporate law and practices and advised the Corporate Laws Committee to prepare such Corporate Affairs Standards for consideration of the Council.

In compliance, the Committee has formulated draft Corporate Affairs Standards on the following areas of corporate law and practices:

    * Corporate Affairs Standard on Business Valuation

    * Corporate Affairs Standard on Auditors appointment, retirement and removal

    * Corporate Affairs Standards on Certification under MCA 21

Members are requested to give their valuable suggestions/comments on the aforesaid draft at the earliest and latest by 15th April, 2009. Comments may be sent by e-mail with the subject line VIEWS/SUGGESTIONS ON CORPORATE AFFAIRS STANDARD to the following: -
