The Union Budget 2006-07 would fail to encourage fast growth as it did not take measures to move forward with reforms, according to practising chartered accountant Dipankar Chatterjee.
This would hamper the poverty alleviation measures undertaken by the government as faster growth can only deal with the menace, Chatterjee, the former president of CII eastern region, said at a discussion on Budget'07 organised by Views Exchange and the CA Study Circle.
