The President, in terms of the authority given to him by the Council at its 373rd meeting held on 12th February, 2018, has constituted a Group to study the amendments proposed by the High Level Committee set up by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs vide OM No. 1/7/2017-PI dated 10th April, 2017 to look into Disciplinary Mechanism of the three Professional Institutes, in the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 and the Chartered Accountants (Procedure of Investigations of Professional and Other Misconduct and Conduct of Cases) Rules, 2007, comprising of the following members:-

• CA. Sanjay Vasudeva
• CA. Sanjiv Kumar Chaudhary
• CA. G. Sekar
• CA. Tarun J. Ghia
• CA. Mukesh Singh Kushwah
• Dr. Ravi Gupta

Shri Ravinder Singh Pundhir, Assistant Secretary will be Secretary of the Group.

The Group will examine the amendments proposed by High Level Committee and formulate its views/comments on these amendments for consideration of the Council at its meeting scheduled to be held from 21st to 24th March, 2018 so that the comments of ICAI can be submitted to Ministry of Corporate Affairs by end of March, 2018.
