Dear Esteemed Members,

Not-for-Profit Organizations have emerged as important players in the development arena. They
play unique role in the society which is central to community engagement and also to the building
of social capital. It is difficult to define their characteristics as organizations in this sector are
extremely varied. More effective utilization of public resources through effective implementation of
programs, minimization, if not eradication, of corruption, sensitivity to the needs of poor, providing
timely information to the donors and other stakeholders are the critical requirements of
organizations working in NPO sector.






Keeping this in view, the Internal Audit Standards Board of ICAI is organizing Webinar on
"Internal Audit of Not-for-Profit Organizations" on February 9, 2015 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The
objective of this webinar is to discuss peculiar aspects related to internal audit of Not-for-Profit
Organizations, particularly covering internal control, fund utilization, expenditure variance,
budgeting and statutory compliances.
