REPORT ON NATIONAL CONVENTION OF CA STUDENTS AT BHILWARA
Board of Studies, ICAI has organized a two day National Convention of CA Students at Bhilwara which was
hosted by Bhilwara Branch of CIRC of ICAI. This Mega Event was organized on 24th & 25th January, 2014 at
Hotel Surya Mahal Auditorium, Shastri Nagar. The Theme of the Convention was "Change ...Challenges...
The event started by playing CA Motto and lighting of the Lamp. The inaugural ceremony has been presided
over by our Chief Guest CA Vijay Garg, Chairman, Board of Studies, ICAI. Among the other dignitaries and
guests were CA Shyam Lal Agarwal, Central Council Member, CA Manish Borad, Secretary CIRC, CA
Subhash Bahedia, Ex MP, CA R L Nolkha CMD of Nitin Spinners Ltd., along with CA Atul Somani, Chaiman
of Bhilwara Branch and Convention Co-Chaiman, CA Naveen N Vagrecha, Ex Chairman of Bhilwara Branch
& Convention Director, CA K C Baheti, Ex Chairman of Branch and Convention Co-director, CA Sandeep
Singhvi, Chairman CICASA and Convention convener, Abhishek Dad, Secretary of Branch. and other
Members were present during the Inaugural Ceremony. A Souvenir was also released by the dignitaries on the
The convention was attended by more than 550 students. The Two day event was spread over 5 Technical
Sessions, 2 special session and valedictory session and a mega Cultural Programme. The total programs were
managed by students with the co ordination, guidance and help from members. 5 Technical Sessions were
chaired by expert speakers like CA Manish Dafria Indore, CA Yash Dhadda Jaipur, CA Susuil Jhalan Jaipur,
CA Atul Somani Bhilwara and CA Manish Borad, Secretary CIRC. Besides eminent speakers, the highlight of
the Technical Sessions was 17 Student Paper Presenter from different parts of the Country and they were
delighted to share the Dias with such a galaxy of personalities. Out of them 6 students were from out of our
CIRC region, 6 was from out of our city but within our region and 5 were from our own city. All has been
awarded as certificate and memento in respective session.
Two special sessions were also arranged for the benefit of the students. First of all CA Vijay Garg, Chariman,
BOS, ICAI had highlighted the Institute's Initiative for the benefit of the students. In another Special Session,
CA. Manish Borad Secretary CIRC highlighted the importance of effective articleship and other issues of
student life. Both had addressed the students and give them the tips regarding How to Pass CA Exam. Students
were not only delighted but it was their privilege to interact with them.
A Mega Cultural evening was organized on this occasion on 24st January, the theme of the same was
`JHALAK". The entire show was prepared, anchored and choreographed by the students themselves. The
cultural evening consisted of individual and group performances of dance, singing & drama. The Members and
students present thoroughly enjoyed the same & were extremely happy to see these facades of CA students.
This proves that if given platform they can excel in other field also.Along with this student performance one
musical group of GMG Music group was also invited to show their performance which also enjoyed by the
students and at end there was DJ dance.
We are sure that the convention was fruitful, enlightening and an educative experience for all the participants
and that they enjoyed a feast of knowledge. We are confident that the participants would have felt substantial
value addition in terms of knowledge, confidence, and communication skills by attending this convention.
The Convention was concluded with Vote of Thanks from the Branch CA Naveen N Vagrecha Convention
Director and , CA Atul Somani Chairman Bhilwara Branch and CA K C Baheti Convention Co-director .
