Udupi: CA Business Achiever Award for Ullas Kamath

Ullas Kamath, deputy managing director of Jyothy Laboratories Ltd.,(JLL) has won the 'Business Achiever Award' from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for the year 2008 under SME category. Kamath is the second to be conferred the award, instituted by ICAI to recognize and honour colleagues who excel in the auditing profession, two years ago. Kamath, 45, joined Jyothy Laboratories 17 years ago and played a stellar role in converting the concern into a corporate giant that owns established brands like Ujala, Maxo, Exo and Jeeva. Under Kamath's leadership, JLL continues to be a company free from liabilities and also successfully brought out a public offer of shares in the year 2007.
