A Meeting was organized on 29th January 2009 at Bhubaneswar. CA. Subodh Kumar Agrawal, Chairman, Committee on Public Finance, ICAI along with members of State Committee met with Shri P C Ghadai, Hon’ble Finance Minister and Shri Sanatan Bisi, Hon’ble Minister of Health, Govt. of Orissa and discussed matters related to Public Finance.
The Chairman also met with Shri R N Senapati, Secretary Finance, Shri B C Mahapatra, Addl Secretary Finance, Shri P K Biswal, Spl. Officer cum Joint Secretary Finance, Govt. of Orissa.

During the meeting various issues of state economy involving public finance were discussed.

The Chairman offered that ICAI could undertake study of accounting system in the state to bring out transparency and accountability.

The Hon’ble Finance Minister offered opportunity to work together in different areas of State Economy as decided by the concerned Ministry and Department of Orissa Government.

The Hon’ble Health Minister appreciated the work done by the Committee on Public Finance, ICAI.
