Exempt senior citizens from filing returns

Exempt all senior citizens from filing income-tax returns, and allow us to live the rest of our lives in peace with whatever savings we have.

Health insurance is also not available to us. The high salaries and spending power of the present day youth, coupled with the economic growth in all directions, have contributed to the prices of all commodities to skyrocket. People like us who depend on post office saving schemes and fixed deposits in banks for our survival, it is becoming very difficult to make ends meet. The interests from Kissan Vikas Patras etc are realised only after the end of the period, but these have to be accounted for in the annual returns. The income without the inclusion of these interests would be much less than the allowable exemption limit. Hence the available funds for regular expenses are very small.
