The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is in association with the Public Interest Oversight Board Meetings (PIOB) is organizing the Joint ICAI – PIOB Stakeholders Conclave on 9th February 2017 at Hotel Royal Plaza, New Delhi. 

The Public Interest Oversight Board (PIOB) is the global independent oversight body and collaborative effort by International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and the international financial regulatory community which oversees the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB), the International Accounting Education Standards Board (IAESB), the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA), and IFAC’s Compliance Advisory Panel. 

IFAC is the global organization for the accountancy profession comprised of over 175 members and associates in more than 130 countries and jurisdictions, representing almost 3 million accountants in public practice, education, government service, industry, and commerce. 

The ICAI is the founder member of IFAC, the global organization for the accountancy profession dedicated to serving the public interest by strengthening the profession and contributing to the development of strong international economies. IFAC is comprised of over 175 members and associates in more than 130 countries. 

The objective of the proposed joint ICAI-PIOB Conclave is to have an insight into the role of the PIOB and the standard setting model, and to have an open dialogue on the challenges of the profession and the experience in India. 

The participation at the Conclave is on the basis of First-cum-First serve basis with the Registration Fees of Rs.750/- per delegate. The registration form for the Conclave is enclosed.
