The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that they will be declaring the results for the Chartered Accountants Final Examination, held in November 2013, and the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) held in December 2013, on 15th January 2014 around 2 PM. Top 50 all-India ranks of the CA Final Examination and top 10 ranks of the CPT exam will be released as well. ICAI offers membership and certification as Chartered Accountant to aspirants having cleared all three levels of examination, the Common Proficiency Test, Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) and Final Examination.
The Final Examination of ICAI is held in 2 Groups of 4 subjects each and candidates are required to pass each subject individually and each respective Group. The Final Examination Group I exams were held on 5th November 2013, 7th November 2013, 9th November 2013 and 11th November 2013. The Group II (Final Exams) were held on 13th November 2013, 16th November 2013, 19th November 2013 and 21st November 2013. Candidates having cleared the Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) and completed the required practical training are eligible for the Final Examination.
The Common Proficiency Test for ICAI was held on 15th December 2013 in two sessions with a total of 4 subjects: Fundamentals of Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. Aspirants may register for the Common Proficiency Test after completing Class 10th and can appear for the examination after Class 12th and can register for IPCC once they clear the CPT exam. However candidates with Graduation/Post Graduation degree in the relevant subjects can apply for IPCC examination directly.
The CPT, IPCC and Final examinations conducted by ICAI are held twice a year; Common Proficiency Test in June and December and IPCC and Final examinations in the months of May and November.
