January, 28th 2013

Value Added Tax consultants in the city have once again come across the problem of slow processing of online VAT filing. The problem is witnessed by the city business groups and consultants during past week. Following slow processing the concerned department has been alerted.

Due to slow processing speed of the online server of VAT department the consultants raised issue of disturbance in interstate business. Business groups and consultants claimed that they are not able to file form number 402 and 403 online as it is not possible to upload the forms. Despite several attempts the forms are not getting uploaded, the consultants alleged.

The consultants also claimed that it they have to sit in front of computers for hours to complete minor processes as the server is slow. In past the problem of slow processing speed of online server has been reported on several occasions after which corrective measures were also taken by the department. But the problem again started during the past week creating trouble for business groups.

After the compliant, VAT department is trying to find out reason behind slow server speed. To solve the slow server speed problem the entire system was kept offline for few days in recent past.
