Ernst & Young has signed an agreement with Jobs4Bahrainis.com, the first private sector initiative dedicated exclusively to improving employment prospects of Bahrainis. Under the terms of the three-year agreement, signed at Ernst & Young's Bahrain office, Jobs4Bahrainis.com will assist Ernst & Young Training Centre graduates who are funded by Tamkeen to find accounting and related jobs in the kingdom.
It will do this by opening a database of CVs and other details of the graduates of the centre to leading employers.
About 600 Tamkeen-funded Bahrainis are expected to graduate from the centre in the next three years with internationally recognised qualifications - Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Certified Accounting Technician and the Post Graduate Qualification in Business Accounting and Islamic Finance by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, the UK.
"We are pleased to join hands with Jobs4Bahrainis.com as part of one of our initiatives and ongoing efforts to find suitable employment opportunities for graduates coming under Tamkeen's Accountancy and Finance skills gaps Islamic finance projects," said Ernst & Young office managing partner Essa Al Jowder.
"This is in line with Tamkeen's objective to make Bahrainis the employees of choice.
"Ernst & Young Training Centre's main aim is to help the community, who aspire to excel in a professional accounting and finance career, by providing the opportunity to follow leading international qualifications," he said.
The centre is training hundreds of students in many accountancy and finance-related qualifications.
It is a leading qualifications training provider in the region.
