In terms of the decision taken by the Central Government and respective State Governments, it has been decided that the holiday on account of Milad-Un-Nabi or Id-E-Miladbe observed on 12th December, 2016 (Monday) [in place of 13th December, 2016 (Tuesday)], for all offices of the Institute including Regional and Decentralised Offices except Chennai Regional Office since the Government of Tamil Nadu has decided to declare 13th December, 2016 as a public holiday for Milad-un-Nabi instead of 12th December, 2016.

Accordingly, all offices of the Institute will remain closed on 12th December, 2016 (Monday) instead of 13th December, 2016 (Tuesday) except Chennai region where the Office will remain closed on 13th December, 2016. 

Accordingly, 13th December, 2016 is declared as working day for all the offices of the Institute including Regional and Decentralised Offices other than Chennai Office where 12th December, 2016 is declared as working day.
