The income-tax department is likely to submit the report on its investigation into former Noida Authority engineer-in-chief Yadav Singh to the UP government this week, possibly as early as Monday. "The I-T department is likely to submit its report by Monday," a UP government official said on Monday.
Chief secretary Alok Ranjan said further action against Singh, who was removed from his post after I-T raids on his house and the offices of a company in which his wife is a director, would be initiated after the government received the report. "There is an I-T department investigation pending against Yadav Singh. Let the investigation be over and I-T submit its report. Only after that will we decide the further course of action," Ranjan said.
