The Companies Act, 2013, has incorporated various provisions compatible with the requirements contained in
IFRS-converged Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS). Moving ahead in this direction, the Ministry of
Corporate Affairs (MCA) is in the process of finalisation of the revised roadmap for implementation of these
Standards. In view of the fact that Ind ASs are expected to become effective shortly, Ind AS (IFRS)
Implementation Committee has commenced a chain of two-days awareness programme `Moving ahead to
IFRS-converged Indian Accounting Standards Environment' at various locations across the country. This
programme aims to get the members ready to implement Ind AS by clarifying about common misconceptions
with regard to Ind AS/IFRS and by educating them as to how these Accounting Standards will lead to better
financial reporting.
