President, ICAI
Chartered Accountancy is the hallmark of the excellence, precision, quality and commitment. We the
members of this esteemed Institute take pride in being part of this profession. But at the same time
it puts forth on us the responsibility to carry the legacy bestowed upon us by our able predecessors
with utmost integrity, diligence and foresightedness. We are the bunch of professionals who have
been entrusted with the job of maintaining accounting and financial structure of business entities.
Now this job has a cascading effect on the overall performance of entities thus impacting the
economic growth of the country. Therefore, Chartered Accountants are demanded to demonstrate
the highest standards of professional conduct and it is essential that the expectations of the public
are understood and met.
The Committee for Members in Industry (CMII) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
(ICAI) is committed towards the cause and development of the members in Industry. It encourages
and enhances close links between the ICAI and the Chartered Accountants working in industries
in various capacities. It facilitates exchange of knowledge, gaining expertise and inculcating skills.
The Committee also assists in career growth of Chartered Accountants through the development
of extensive and intensive relationships with organizations.
I am glad that the Committee for Members in Industry is organizing 7th ICAI Corporate Forum on
January 10 & 11, 2014 in New Delhi. This grand event offers multifold activities such as Corporate
Conclave, Financial Services Expo and ICAI Awards 2013. The ICAI Awards are instituted to recognize
and appreciate the Chartered Accountants who have achieved exceptionally well on professional
front.
The event will also provide an active platform to the members in Industry and corporate for
networking and probable business alliances. I wish all the delegates cherish the experience and
hope that the 7th ICAI Corporate Forum 2013 would be extremely successful.

Over the years the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has created a mark for
itself in the development of accounting discipline and has been catering to the needs of
modern day accountancy requirements by generating qualified accountants to meet the
present as well as future needs of the Indian economy. The ICAI has also pioneered many
initiatives for creating professional awakening.
Chartered Accountants deal with giving forecasts, managing risks and providing insight
into the issues ranging from price to production to sales, implications of IFRS, company's
statutory provisions, sustainability policies and initiatives and so on. Many CAs now have a
more evolved role as they are considered a part of the top management in their organization.
The Committee for Members in Industry (CMII) of the ICAI is organizing 7th ICAI Corporate
Forum from 10th to 11th January, 2014, at New Delhi. This mega event gives a platform to
Corporate and Chartered Accountants to come together under one roof.
Realizing the role and exemplary achievements of our Members and in order to recognize
their distinguished efforts, the Committee for Members in Industry (CMII) of ICAI has instituted
the ICAI Awards six years back. It is an opportunity for the members to get their contribution,
to the profession, business and the society, recognized by their alma mater.
I hope that the Corporate Forum through Corporate Conclave would enable to enhance the
proficiency of the members and update their knowledge on various contemporary issues. The
Financial Services Expo is also part of the mega event which will serve as a platform where
Chartered Accountants and Corporates from all over India will get the awareness about the
diverse financial products.
I wish Corporate Forum event a grand success and invite all the Members to take active

The Chartered Accountants today represent an important group of business leaders, not only
in India, but also across the globe. The skills and knowledge developed by them have been
aptly demonstrated in their performance in various sectors.
Creation of Employment Opportunities, Enhancing Knowledge and Skill Sets and Recognition
of the Exemplary work of Members in Industry are the primary goals of the CMII of ICAI.
Our Committee has made sure that the Members in Industry stay updated with the latest
contemporary issues. To accomplish the same we organize and conduct various CFO Meets,
Seminars, Conferences, HR Meets and so on.
Committee for Members in Industry (CMII) of ICAI is pleased to announce the conduct of
comprehensive two days Corporate Forum event at New Delhi on 10th and 11th January,
2014. Corporate Forum is a unique programme in which three concurrent events: Corporate
Conclave, Financial Services Expo and ICAI Awards will be organised. It is my sincere hope that
this Corporate Forum shall continue to cater to the needs of the Members in Industry as well
as Corporates in a pervasive manner in all the fronts alike.
The ICAI Awards 2013 was initiated so as to recognize and honor the Chartered Accountants
for their exemplary work. These ICAI Awards seek to acknowledge Chartered Accountants
who have created value to their company's stakeholders on a sustainable basis.

Chartered Accountants employed in industry are playing an extremely significant role not
only in the development of the organizations, companies in which they serve but more
particularly for the overall economic development of our country. In addition to the overseeing
the company's financial health, CAs are increasingly involved in setting operational and
commercial strategy, navigating their companies safely through tighter credit markets, more
complex regulation and unpredictable trading conditions.
The Committee for Members in Industry (CMII) of ICAI plays an important role by serving
the needs of the members of the ICAI in Industry. CMII takes initiative in organizing and
conducting many meets and seminars like CFOs Meet, Corporate Accountants Meet, HR Meet
etc.
Every year CMII organizes Corporate Forum and ICAI Awards for the Members in Industries
across the country. This year as well the 7th Corporate Forum is being organized at New Delhi.
This Corporate Forum shall include Corporate Conclave, Financial Services Expo and ICAI
Awards 2013 which will be held on 10th and 11th January, 2014 in New Delhi.
All the Members in Industry are invited to participate in this mega event as it is going to be a
