Haryana posts 14 pc growth in tax collection till November

The Haryana government has posted 14.81 per cent growth in tax collection at Rs 11,676.70 crore for April-November this fiscal.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of Excise and Taxation department in a release said that collection of VAT plus CST was Rs 9,356.47 crore from April till November this year, up by 14.10 per cent compared to that of the same period of last year.

Excise collection up to November 2011 was Rs 1,971.69 crore which was 19.06 per cent more than that of the corresponding period of last year.

He said that an increase of 15.13 per cent had been registered in collection of Luxury Tax during the same period. A sum of over Rs 36.22 crore was collected as Luxury Tax upto November this year as against the collection of 31.46 crore during the same period last year.

The Minister said that a sum of Rs 27.39 crore was collected as Entertainment Tax whereas Passenger and Goods Tax collection was 266.96 crore, which is 10.65 per cent more as compared to that of previous year.

Local Area Development Tax (LADT) collection was 17.95 crore during the same period.
