Group to Review the Criteria for Formation of Branch

Madam/Dear Sir,

The President, in terms of the authority given to him by the Council at its 363rd meeting held on 12th February, 2017, has constituted a Group to review the criteria for formation of Branch comprising of the following members:-

  • CA. Mukesh Singh Kushwah (Convenor)
  • CA. Vijay Kumar Gupta
  • CA. Vijay Kumar Jhalani
  • CA. M.P.Vijay Kumar
  • CA. Sushil Kumar Goyal
  • CA. Dhiraj Kumar Khandelwal
  • CA. Mangesh P. Kinare

The Terms of Reference of the Group will be as follows: -

  • To review the criterion for formation of branch e.g. increase in present membership strength prescribed, area/jurisdiction (increase from present 50 km), consideration of number of members voting (to estimate members stationed in the branch), etc;
  • To examine the current branch financials from the perspective of viability and to suggest the nature and quantum of activities to be done by them;
  • To examine splitting up of large branches or creation of branches where Regional offices headquarters are there and suggest modalities as also the implications thereof;
  • To examine merger of branches a) where branches are in near vicinity; b) where branches are making losses, etc;
  • To suggest in what cases to close the existing branches e.g where there are continuous losses for a certain number of years etc. and
  • To examine whether branches are required in view of embracing of more and more technology, and, if yes, for what minimum number of members

CA. Manish Bhalla, Assistant Secretary RBA would be the Secretary to the aforesaid Group.
