The Department of Trade and Taxes has extended the deadline of filing the VAT returns for the 2nd quarter of 2015-16 from October 28 to November 16, 2015.
The step has been taken by the department in view of the requests of the traders and for their convenience, said a spokesperson of the government, adding that the move would benefit lakhs of traders of Delhi who were busy due to festive season.
The returns are to be filed in form DVAT-16, DVAT-17 and DVAT-48 along with required annexures/enclosures. The traders who do not have digital signature are required to file hard copy of the return. — TNS
