Templeton Strategic raises stake in Indian Oil & Gas co.

Templeton Strategic Emerging Markets Fund III LDC (TSEMF III) further added to its existing investment in Shiv-Vani Oil & Gas Exploration Services Limited (Shiv-Vani). TSEMF III, which invests in listed as well as unlisted companies in emerging markets, is the third strategic equity fund managed by Templeton Emerging Markets Group of Templeton Asset Management Limited, an investment management company incorporated in Singapore.
Dr. Mark Mobius, executive chairman of Templeton Emerging Markets Group said, We are impressed with Shiv-Vanis oil & gas exploration services capabilities and thought it fit to add to our existing investment in the company. The demand for oil and gas continues to rise all around the world and thus the demand for Shiv-Vanis services should increase. Shiv-Vani is one of Indias largest onshore oil & gas services provider focused on deep well drilling and seismic services. Shiv-Vani also provides end to end services in drilling, extraction, compression and dispatch of gas in its coal bed methane (CBM) business.
