India's April-October indirect tax receipts rose 11.9 per cent from a year earlier to Rs 1.23 trillion (USD 31.2 billion), the finance ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
Customs duty receipts in the first seven months of the 2007/08 fiscal year rose 17.4 per cent from a year earlier to Rs 578.33 billion, while excise collections grew by an annual 7.5 per cent to Rs 649.48 billion.
