Government auditor CAG has accessed all documents relating to awarding of broadcasting contracts given by Prasar Bharati to UK-based SIS Live for Commonwealth Games, which is now a bone of contention between the Board and the CEO of the national broadcaster.
"We have received all documents from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry regarding the Prasar Bharati-SIS Live deal of the CWG," a senior CAG official said.
There has been allegations of impropriety by Prasar Bharati in the award of the broadcasting rights contract for CWG to UK-based SIS Live.
Official sources had yesterday said Prasar Bharati introduced fresh clauses into the final contract which were not present in the draft cleared by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
Besides the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, the CAG officials have also visited the CPWD offices located in the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Indira Gandhi Stadium and National Stadium.
